The FORMULA 45 "Press Worthy Press Releases"

So you’ve started up your property marketing firm, you’ve got business cards printed up, you customized marketing pieces, established your pricing, launched your virtual tour website, and you even put that beautiful logo on your vehicle.  Now what?  I'll tell you what...it’s time to make some noise about your personal brand and what makes your service offering attractive to your customer base, unique, and in demand.

Making noise about your virtual tour company is a great way to create exciting content to blog about and also let people know that you’re a legitimate company.  During my first year as a TC virtual tour company I tried to schedule a press release for at least once every quarter or so.  I made sure not to launch everything or even too many things at once.  I always saved a property marketing tool for the following month so I could keep making noise and generating excitement about the brand I was creating.

Please join myself and Marketing Director, Phil Callighan on February 15th at 7:00 Eastern for a show of shows that could only lead to “bad news” if you don’t attend.  By popular demand RTV presents to you The FORMULA 45 - Press Worthy Press Releases.

Phil Callighan is a Senior Account Executive and Marketing Director originally from Chicago. He has been a writer-producer, creative director and president of agencies whose client roster has included Fortune 100 corporations as well as entrepreneurial ventures. Phil is a sought-after consultant and has helped build product and corporate brands for several financial institutions, as well as healthcare corporations, building products, hardware and high-tech businesses. Phil has also supervised creation of award-winning PR campaigns and has built several brands with the power of PR.

On February 15th Phil will show the RTV network how “You can do this too!”.   See you on the FORMULA 45 RTV! Sign up now in your TMS.

Yours Sincerely,

How I Found RTV

When I bought my first DSLR camera four years ago, it did not take long for a hobby to grow into a real passion.  I knew in an instant that this medium would lead me to a new and exciting career.  As I studied and learned all I could about the "Art" of photography as well as the technical aspects of it, I realized that I would need to look for a niche` market for my photography.  The business of photography is one of the most competitive industries I know of.

One day I found myself looking for a new house and, like most people these days, I began my search online.  What I saw both surprised and excited me.  I discovered that the vast majority of homes I looked at, both for sale and for rent, were being marketed with photographs that did not give me a good sense of what the home really looked like.  I noticed that a very few homes were being marketed with virtual tours and high resolution slide shows.  The differences were stark and I could immediately see what a difference it made in the way the viewer saw the home.

I recognized at this point that I could actually provide a much needed and valued service by making this the niche` I had been looking for.  I spent the next year researching everything I needed to know about real estate photography, virtual tours, digital marketing and more.  I looked into which lens was best, how the images were made and edited, and most importantly, how these virtual tours were created and marketed.  My research of course, continually led me to "RTV, Inc".  RTV is one of many virtual tour software companies that I looked at and by a wide margin, RTV shone above the rest in what they had to offer.  Their state of the art cutting edge proprietary software and approach to marketing convinced me that I wanted to partner with them.

I contacted Jason LaVanture, Vice President of RTV, and discussed with him what my goals are, and soon afterward I partnered with RTV to be my provider of my Danbury virtual tour company.  Judging by the vast network of RTV dealers and the fantastic support and continuing education they provide, I am certain that this is the beginning of a long a very prosperous relationship with RTV. In fact...I've already got tours booked and sold!!!

Small Business Needs Innovation

Lenawee County virtual tour business
owner, Hal Holubik announces ToursdForce, the professional provider of promotional media services. Today we announce the official launch of 2011 Social Ignition course for small businesses and real estate agents. Toursdforce.com a Lenawee County virtual tour company will continue to help provide entrepreneurs with the tools necessary to increase traffic to their websites, create better SEO (search engine optimization), and of course encourage small business growth here in Lenawee County and the surrounding region.

"We recognize that small businesses need expert guidance and professional knowledge when it comes to SEO and social networking to truly become Visible," said Hal Holubik, Owner/Operator of Toursdforce.com. Our Program will help provide business owners with the steps necessary to take advantages of blogging, social networking, social bookmarking and micro blogging. Business owners willing to dedicate a little time each week WILL be able to dominate search engine results in their area, drive more traffic to their site and become a recognized leader in their field.

Hal Holubik has been helping small businesses with online marketing and social media for over three years. "What started as a hobby has now turned into a home based business," says Hal Holubik. The popular YouTube website has helped this and many other small businesses streamline promotional products and services to potential customers through the World Wide Web.

See our promotional video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F08UUl2YFMc

Google has also played an important role in his entrepreneur success. Hal Holubik states, "I enjoy helping small business owners and real estate agents write relevant and quality content enabling Google perform it magic and bring them up on first page search results. Small businesses continue to understand the importance of online marketing and social media and how Google helps people find information through their web based search engine results.”

Check out Hal's Lenawee County virtual tour blog!

Today, it’s impossible to separate social media from the online world.  Facebook reached 350 million users in 2009 – and it accounts for 25% of the Web’s traffic, according to Pew nearly one in five people on the web use Twitter or some other service to check status messages, and 94% of enterprises plan to maintain or increase their investment in enterprise social media tools. The social media conversation is no longer considered a Web 2.0 fad – it’s taking place in homes, small businesses and corporate settings, and extending its reach into nonprofit, education and health sectors. People now speak of social media as simply another channel or tactic to bring more people to their websites.

As new businesses grow and develop, social media innovation will no longer be limited by technology. Companies will need to look to innovate the way they use existing technology, rather than focusing on technology enhancements themselves. Small businesses will need to look to new ways of turning information into wisdom and insight into action. According to Hal Holubik, "Times are tough and forcing many small businesses into making cuts. However, this is the time for businesses to invest in 360 virtual tours, other innovation and web based services to help customers understand their mission and to gain the competitive edge."

Bozeman Virtual Tour Provider on Board

I recently signed up with RTV virtual tours and can't be more excited about the opportunity. The new Tour Builder 4 virtual tour software is amazing to say the least. It is quick and easy to build the HD virtual tour once you have produced all the images with the photo stitching software.

I researched lots of virtual tour companies and RTV offers the most comprehensive training, virtual tour business startup, and has the best looking online virtual tours. From the training to the everyday help in getting started, I couldn't be happier...I just wish there was more time in the day to get everything done.

For marketing, the materials included will work well for helping to get the word out about my new 360 tour business. Luckily I'm already involved with Realtor's and already sending out the tours I have made as examples of how they can feature their properties.

I'm looking forward to seeing this business grow and all the options it has. With a good team / tour company behind the product, you can't go wrong.

From a Caterpiller to a Butterfly we are Transformed! Wow!, I mean Wow!, this new Tour Builder 4.0 virtual tour software is really great!  If you haven’t heard about the new 4.0 that has been launched by RTV 360 Tours then let me tell you that you are missing out.

The extra steps in the virtual tour building process before reminded me of a Caterpiller, we were working hard through  several steps in the process to weave through the virtual tour software a tour that would emerge as a beautiful display of HD slideshows, similar to the caterpillar weaving a cocoon of silk and later the
magic of complete metamorphosis takes place and the ugly green caterpillar is transformed into a
beautiful, colorful, butterfly. Our struggles are over and the transformation is breath taking, we are
transformed. All the hard work and time consuming work has been cut in half due to the new Tour Builder 4.0 virtual tour software.

Real Tour Vision has worked really hard this year to eliminate several steps as well as a few
complicated steps in the Tour Building process in order to make the transformation of virtual tour
building a much more pleasant one. Tulsa Eagle Eye is designing some beautiful butterflies through our
HD Virtual Slideshows, Exposure Engines, that are attracting a lot of attention.  This year is going
to be a year with lot of colorful butterflies, they will be in the form of HD virtual tours for residential/commercial real estate, businesses, factory’s, auto dealerships, City Parks and the avenues
will be endless.

Being creative is the key while seeing every business, trade, industry, doctor & dentist
office or business professional as a potential virtual tour customer. I found that the people that cross my
path each day are selling, designing, promoting, or marketing, to potential customers, so why not give them
what they need, a digital virtual tour online to get their message in front of thousands instead of one at
a time.

As a Tulsa virtual tour company here in Oklahoma I have looked up several local business websites online
and was overwhelmed to discover that only about 5% had some kind of virtual display of their business online
and most of those where just still images. With all the marketing tools at our fingertips and the best virtual
tours on the market everyone should be producing some beautiful butterflies this year.  So hurry, follow the
flock of butterflies, and let’s transform RTV Virtual Tour Market for 2011 into a phenomenal money making year.

Let's see more butterflies.

We all applaud you, RTV for the wonderful work with this new virtual tour software!

How to register for an RTV Webinar

This year we would like as many of you to make our monthly webinars as possible.  It recently came to our attention that many of you think that our last minute show reminders are our only way for you to register for a show.  This of course would leave you with very little time to register and plan for our event and is not the case.   In fact, RTV typically has a show scheduled in advance one to two weeks before the show is released making it VERY simple for you to register for each show in advance.  To register for an RTV event simply follow these three easy steps below.
  1. Login to your virtual tour software manager http://tms.realtourvision.com
  2. On the left navigation click on the button that says The FORMULA / The IMAGE
  3. On the registration page read the details regarding the up and coming shows and register for the shows you would like to attend.

A Fast Start

Today is officially my fourth day in starting up my virtual tour business with RTV virtual tour software company and I have already made my first virtual tour sale!  I intended to get off to a fast start and still, I am a bit surprised by how fast everything is progressing.

Like others who decide to get into the property marketing business when it's hot, I was a bit taken aback by the sheer volume of information to digest.  I knew the best course was to just read, study and practice to get enough information to get started.  I think I could study this material for weeks and weeks and still feel a bit apprehensive about getting out there and promoting my Connecticut virtual tour business.

I have learned over the years, that sometimes it is just better to "get your feet wet".  I know I will make mistakes along the way, and I also know that I will learn and grow from those mistakes.  So I just decided that I had enough information to get started.  I don't think we need to learn every aspect of the virtual tour business to get started.  What we need to do is to get out there and talk with people.  A mentor once told me, "people do not do business with companies, but rather, people do business with people."  Do you want to be another face in the crowd, or do you want to stand out and be recognized?

RTV has provided all the training, virtual tour software, infrastructure,  and support to help get me started fast. It is ultimately up to us as virtual tour dealers to "get out there" and get our feet wet.  We don't need to "reinvent the wheel," we just need to go for it.

I am very confidant that this first sale is an indication that my decision to start creating Connecticut virtual tours will be well received in my community, and that we can make a difference for so many local real estate agents struggling in this historic down turn.

Come on in, the water is fine!

How to use RTV Virtual Tour Software

Tour Builder 4.0 is now here! RTV is so excited that this product has been released. Our main goal was to simplify the tour building process, move tour storage online, and make updates and edits easier than ever. We hope we’ve met those goals.

I know a lot of you have burning questions about how to make your first tour using Tour Builder 4.0. I have written some simple directions for our current dealers to use to fast track building their first virtual tour using the new system. The directions assume you’ve built a tour before and that you remember how to do it. If you haven’t created your first tour, or it has been a long time, then I recommend downloading the complete manual at this link:

http://support.realtourvision.com/downloads/TourBuilder4-TMS.pdf

Everyone else can just forge ahead. If you get stuck go ahead and download the whole manual with screenshots. It’s free! The first thing you need before making a new tour online is images to upload. You still need to stitch on your computer. You can stitch through the Tour Builder software and export high resolution images or you can learn how to stitch through Panavue. Click the link below to watch the video on how to do that:

http://Support.realtourvision.com/downloads/Panavue_101.zip - Zip download

http://www.youtube.com/v/IG92Dw37Y38 - YouTube

I recommend saving your images for a tour all in one folder. Also, for the sake of organization and efficiency, when you save the photos name them what you want the scene to be titled in the tour, that way you don’t have to change it later. You will also need to rotate your stills so they are upright if you took them with your camera mounted on the rotator. Once your images are prepared you are ready to build a tour.

1.    Log into TMS
2.    Click the Create HD V-Tours button
3.    Choose a tour type
4.    Type in the tour title
5.    Edit the tour colors if desired. Copy the color codes into the appropriate box or click in the field to open a color picker.
6.    Click the drop down box to choose a hotspot
7.    Click Continue
8.    Press the Upload button in the upper left
9.    Browse to the folder containing the images.
10.    Highlight the image(s) and press Open
11.    Images should be 900 pixels high or less and less than 800 kb. If they are not then they will be adjusted automatically
12.    Rename images if necessary
13.    Drag and drop images to sort
14.    Type in Spinfo scene description
15.    Click the Copy Down Spinfo button to repeat the first Spinfo in all the scenes
16.    Choose type – TB 4.0 attempts to guess what kind of image has been uploaded. It may guess incorrectly so it is important to check. If the wrong type is chosen the scene may need to be deleted and added in again later.
17.    Click Continue to proceed to the next step
18.    Place a hotspot by single left clicking in the image
19.    Type in the hotspot caption
20.    Click the down arrow to access the scene to jump to
21.    Click in the Starting Point box to set the hotspot starting point if desired. An overlay of the image will open. Click where you want the hotspot to open the scene.
22.    Click Save
23.    Place any other hotspots in this scene
24.    If it is necessary to delete a hotspot, click on the hotspot and click the trash can
25.    Click in the scene starting point box to choose where the scene should open in the viewer. An overlay of the scene will open. Click where you want the scene to open in the viewer.
26.    Click on the down arrow next to Tour Scenes to access the next scene in the tour
27.    Place those hotspots as needed until all the scenes are done.
28.    Choose the scene to use for a tour thumbnail and click Capture Thumbnail
29.    Click Continue to the Info/Edit page and Edit as usual, assign to realtor/owner, add attachments, etc

Enjoy the new Virtual Tour Software!

Vroom Vroom - There Goes my Exposure Engine!

Since 2009, Larimar Images has been providing virtual tours, photography and marketing solutions to real estate professionals and business owners in Wausau, WI.  In 2009 our digital marketing company was given the opportunity to become an RTV virtual tour provider. I can tell you all out there, RTV's virtual tour software out performs other virtual tour software by leaps and bounds!  I've tried em!!!!

Jason and his staff are readily available to answer  questions at a moments notice and that is another reason I am so happy to have joined the RTV team.  Most of all I look forward to watching their bi-weekly digitam marketing and photography training webinars and last week was no exception.  I would like to tell you about last weeks webinar and my discovery.  While hosting the webinar last week Jason reminded us that we should be offering a product called The Exposure Engine.  I knew this was available and it was at the top of my list to learn what it was all about so I could start offering this to my real estate clients for their listings.

I quickly e-mailed RTV and they instantly replied stating that I should watch the Formula 13, a past virtual tour webinar geared towards making an added revenue stream by ripping tours to video and syndicating. Saturday morning I woke up early watched the webinar and proceeded to follow the steps Jason so carefully laid out in the webinar. This product "The Exposure Engine" is supposed to increase an agents listing presence on the web and create more traffic to the tour and I was hoping these claims were true as the more web traffic, the more chance there is for showings and then of course the more chance for a sale!

By 10am Saturday morning I completed the steps on one of my home listings and all I needed to do now was wait and see.  I received the web traffic report on this home early Sunday morning.  All of my clients receive this report if they order one of my Wausau virtual tours or HD slideshows from me. The weekly report tells in great detail, how many people viewed the virtual tour, and where on the web they came from along with other details.  I was excited and completely amazed at the difference!  For about 2 months this home was receiving about 4 -6 hits per week, and now the report was showing 15 with 13 web views  in the last 24 hours which was when I added the Exposure Engine to this listing!

I am completely sold on the Exposure Engine product and so are my customers! I will surely be promoting this tool to help my clients gain rank and more exposure for their listings!  The added marketing it offers my company is fantastic too!  The proof is in the "web traffic report" and I can't wait to show this to my clients!

If you want more web traffic to your listings be sure to call me Lori WoldtLarimar Images - Virtual Tours and digital marketing to enhance your web presence.  By the way...if you have not signed up for the next FORMULA 43 episode you really need to.  This will be all about the brand new 2011 Exposure Engine which includes a QR Code!!

We Love the New Developments

We have not used the new virtual tour software, Tour Builder 4 to process a tour yet but I have watched the instruction video and read and printed the instructions. It looks like a true time saver to the overall virtual tour creation process and should save fifteen to twenty minutes of production time for us per virtual tour. I can't wait to use it on my first San Antonio virtual tour of the year when I get back. (I'm at the Marine Corp Base at Twentynine Palms, CA visiting my grand kids). I'll be home and will be giving it a go for the first time on January 12th.

I would like to say hats off to RTV for the AMAZING job they did on their new stand alone slide show. It is so easy and fast to use that we were able to have an end-of-the-year special to introduce it and the agents just loved it! The special was very successful and we are looking forward to introducing Tour Builder 4 with the same type of special promotion.

I really thank RTV for enabling us to stay on the cutting edge of the virtual tour industry! Thanks for everything RTV! 1000 virtual tours this year!

Networking into the New Year

I have to tell you how I met Rob & Ryan Gick of Gick Builders Inc., a Lafayette Home Builder. I met this father and son duo when visiting the Lafayette BNI group here in Indiana. By the way I strongly suggest joining your local BNI. They approached me after the meeting  to have a virtual tour done of a recently completed remodel.

We met shortly after at the project and I was amazed at the transformation that had taken place. They had converted what was the living room into a mother in law quarters with her own kitchen and bedroom with full bath that is handicap accessible. I was stunned as they showed me where the old house ended and the new addition began. The new kitchen and dining room made my jaw dropand the study that is off the kitchen with it's gas fireplace was inviting me to sit with a good book. These artisans did it all too from poring the footers to painting the warm colors. To say the least I was thoroughly impressed. Have a look at their work and mine at my Lafayette virtual tour company site.  Enjoy!
