A Glowing RTV Business Review

Our experiences have been great with RTV virtual tour software company. When we first joined they gave us great advice on how to start up our market in the Shreveport Louisiana area. As their product has evolved and advanced so has their support. They now have a marketing system that we have also joined. We have come a long way from just cold calling prospective clients, with all the marketing resources we now have access to since joining the RPM. We highly recommend the RPM virtual tour marketing for all the webinars and other resources to jump start your virtual tour business.

When we signed up 6 yrs ago RTV had the best looking and fastest loading Virtual Tours out there. We know because we compared them to other companies. The other companies wanted to charge you for something every time you turned around just to do your business and their tours made you dizzy looking at them. The RTV tours function on a different process without the fisheye look. As time has gone by, RTV just keeps improving upon the virtual tour software. Our virtual tours here in Shreveport look even better know with the HD Full screen capability on our tours. We also have HD slide shows available to us.

Along the way our virtual tour company got into website design as an addition to our VT business. Many things we have learned from RTV such as search engine optimization, we have integrated in other areas beyond virtual tours for our customers.

All I can say is our experience has been great. From learning marketing ideas from Jason and others through the many webinars, to our interrelations with Torie at technical support, we are very happy to be an RTV virtual tour provider and full service dealer.

My advice is to definitely check out all the competition. I say this for two reasons. First you will see we have the best product and support, and second you’ll appreciate RTV that much more. Lastly I would ask them about their websites. As a web designer myself I can say they provide a very good site for a very economical price.

Hope this helps those of you that are searching!

Accepting Critical Reviews with Grace

In my years at RTV I have seen a lot of photos. I mean, A LOT of photos. Some are wonderful and amazing, some are ok, and occasionally there will be some that leave me feeling like I need to wash my eyes out with hot water.

For a long time I would take note of who the good photographers were and avoid the ones that submitted less than stellar images, and I left it at that. But then I heard Randy Pausch’s Last Lecture and changed the way I did things. It made me realize that the message I had been sending you when I didn’t give feedback was “I give up on you. I don’t think you can do it.” And that wasn’t true.

I was just afraid someone would get angry with me. I like to be liked. I like to be nice. But I also believe in you and think you can do better and want you to do better, so now I try to tell you when things don’t come out exactly how they should. Or I make Melissa tell you, lol. My hope is that I am doing you a favor and helping you grow, and I think for the most part people take it that way. But sometimes they don’t and there are angry emails and phone calls to me and about me and I have to deal with the ramifications. And that’s ok, I’m a big girl, I can deal with it.

But a month or so ago I gave some feedback to a photographer hoping that he could look into what was going wrong with his shoots and figure out how to fix it. His response was so appreciated that I asked if I could share it with you.

“Jacque,

I wanted to Thank You for this feedback. I have been wanting this since the beginning. I have no idea what I could be doing to provide a better product without the opinion of someone else.

I had a feeling that we were going to have a problem with these last pictures. I noticed that I was having some problems with my lens about 4 months ago. My shots started having those halos and streaks through them. I have been trying to edit them out and it is just not working.

FYI, I have purchased an "L" series lens for my Canon 50d, as well as a portable, softbox, flash kit to help with the lighting in the darker areas of the hotels.

I also enrolled in a short photography class to help with these issues, if in fact, it is me and not just the lens that is doing this.

As for this last shoot, I will be happy to re-shoot this location when he calls me back out this Spring, as I do not like not providing what is expected from me.

Thanks for the information and please let me know when more information comes about the conference. I will need to know ASAP so I can schedule accordingly here with my work.

Mark”

His gracious response shows that he truly understood that my feedback was meant to help him grow. He also went one step further and offered to fix any issues that we had with his initial shoot. And that speaks volumes to me. His desire to learn and grow and also to provide the best product possible will keep him working with RTV for a long time.

All Hail the Prince of RTV!

Big, warm, fuzzy congratulations to Jason and Heather LaVanture on their little bundle of joy.

Emerson Scott LaVanture was born early this morning at 1:30-ish. He was 21 inches long and weighed 8 lbs and 9 oz. He is absolutely adorable and we all want to munch on his cheeks! Okay, possibly Ben would pass that up but we would fight over his turn :)

We wish all three of them the best during this wonderful time!

Kudos from a Delaware Virtual Tour Provider

I have been an RTV Dealer in Delaware for over 8 years, and I have shot thousands of virtual tours with the Real Tour Vision system. RTV offers its dealers great customer service. When I have a question or problem I just email or call in and I get a response quickly.

The other great thing about RTV is that they are constantly improving their software and system. This allows me to spend less time in the tour production process. They are also working on rolling out new features with their HD virtual tours and fullscreen V-Slide slideshows. These new features make it easier for me to sell tours to new customers, and to retain my existing customers. This alone makes RTV stand out and it is what makes them the leader in Virtual Tour technology.

Discretion - the Better Part of Photography

Karin GaylorIn 2002, an opportunity to learn about real estate photography and a novel concept called “virtual tours” fell into my lap.  RTV's software was the only company out there that had a product I would even consider working with to create a virtual tour.  I remember talking to Jason LaVanture (who still talks and sounds the same) and, after careful consideration, I made the plunge and became a dealer.  The staff at RTV were ALWAYS helpful and considerate, talking me through a huge learning curve.

The knowledge, work ethic and deliberate communication from RTV was, and still is, the reason I have become a successful virtual tour dealer and photographer in Houston, Texas.  Living in League City and
working mainly in the Clear Lake area I’ve photographed properties from $60,000 to almost $3 million.  A new venture is providing virtual tours for yacht brokers – so I get to see how the other 2 percent live!

Which brings me, slowly but surely, to the title of my blog : “Discretion - the Better Part of Photography”.  Over the past 9 years, I’ve provided virtual tours through RTV on hundreds of properties.  Many times, these properties are listed because of divorce, death, illness, or other life-altering situations.  In many instances, clients and homeowners have talked and confided in me about the situations relating to the property.  Trust develops over time with real estate agents, builders, brokers, even the homeowners.  I take that trust very seriously and keep all discussions and information confidential.

Because of this trust, my clients have confidence that I will do what needs to be done at the property and
take great care that doors are locked, lights are turned off, and the property is left secure.  My clients also know I will keep their confidence.  Much of my business is from referrals from some of my most loyal clients.  My clients know when they hire Karin Gaylor Photography, and Clear Lake Virtual Tours, they don’t have to worry about anything relating to the virtual tour aspect of their marketing strategy.  I take great pride in taking care of my clients – giving them the best of my skills and those of RTV.

An RTV Testimonial

I am very impressed with the support I have received from everyone involved with my joining the RTV team and helping me in my virtual tour marketing endeavors.  Everyone has been extremely responsive to every request I have made.  I was very impressed with what I learned about RTV as I compared them to the other virtual tour software solutions out there. I felt that I could differentiate myself from the “crowd” with the help of RTV.  I have not been disappointed.  I have been especially pleased with the support I have received from Ben Knorr.

He has extended himself far beyond what I would have expected.  He was not encumbered by the training “policy and practices” that were clearly defined but reached out to help me produce results for those whom I have engaged in marketing the RTV concept of “virtual” tours.  I used quotes because they are virtual but clearly cannot be compared to what most think of when they hear “virtual tour”.  I could not end without recognizing the support I have received from Sue in developing my virtual tour company website, from Jacque for all the suggestions she has made to help me improve, and also for Eve’s patience with me.

Best regards,

Ken Furesz

PS:  I wish I could attend the RTV convention/conference.   However, my finances cannot afford the expense at this time.

Help Local Businesses Create a Value Proposition

Search results for phrases like “web design services”, “security services”, “advertising and design services” or “your business type” should quickly tell you there’s a lot of competition out there. Why should someone choose to use your flash panorama player over the next guys or any of those other companies listed in the results? What is it that you offer that they don’t? Your answer is how you differentiate your business and how you stand out in the crowd.

If you know anything about marketing at all, you know that you need a way to differentiate yourself from the competition, your USP or Unique Selling Proposition. It’s the one or more things about your virtual tour business that you provide that is different, or better, than what the other guy is offering.

Having a captivating USP is critical to your small business success. Because as Hal Holubik of Toursdforce always says, “If you don’t give people a good reason to do business with you instead of your competition, they probably won’t.”

Make your virtual tour business stand out against the competition!  With increased competition, today’s market instability and tech-savvy clients, the bar for marketing your products and services has been raised. Those who understand that they must offer something truly unique to their clients and potential clients, are closing more sales with Tours D’ Force online virtual tours.

For those design and marketing experts who want to offer something different, something that will add value for your client’s.  With each project sold you can now offer you’re client’s a personalized virtual tour, a virtual storefront for their websites.

Our state-of-the-art service includes a Toursdforce interactive 360 virtual tour, professional photography services, powerful Full Screen HD V-slide presentation, and a comprehensive online syndication and much more.  Read more about our powerful marketing tools: http://www.toursdforce.com/dtools.html

Create a marketing niche for your security services, offer a home or business insurance documented inventory tours. With each security system purchased provide your clients with additional peace of mind and a lifetime of protection with a home/business inventory tour.

The Toursdforce Insurance Documented Services includes: fully interactive 360 virtual tours, professional photography services, powerful Full Screen HD V-slide presentations, fully documented and securely stored on our secure servers and onto a CD for your client and one to be stored off-site in a file at their insurance agency for their proof of ownership which is only a mouse click away!  Did you know that when making an insurance claim a photo is worth as much as an actual receipt to your insurance company?  Want more information: http://www.toursdforce.com/inventory.html

Think about it. Most small business marketing is boring, academic sounding and very forgettable. It’s rare you run across something that truly grabs your attention of your potential clients and sticks in their minds. Who wouldn’t want a website designed a marketing campaign, or a security system which also included a 360 virtual tour? Show your clients that you are the experts in your field by offering tech-savvy tools.

It’s time you discover how Toursdforce 360 interactive virtual tours, your local Lenawee County virtual tour company, can help your business create a value proposition that is truly unique. Offer a service that will keep your business several steps ahead of your competition and have your clients coming back for more.

The Perfect Trade Show

So you purchased your RTV virtual tour software, launched your website, you have your business cards and now you're ready to attend your first trade show. The key to a trade show is proper planning, getting lots of sleep the night before the show, and not getting too nervous during the show. Remember that, at the end of the day, people are coming to the event to get free food, win prizes and hang out. So, you will have to do your best to snag their attention and leave a lasting impression. While most of us can't afford purchasing a dunk tank or having a movie star co-host your booth, so you have to find another way to catch their eye. You want to be memorable -- make people remember at least one thing about their encounter with you.

The sole purpose of your booth is to generate leads for your virtual tour business so you can do your follow up and emails after the show. What I have discovered over the years is that paper material gets tossed, recycled, or if you are lucky it is saved long enough in a paper bag and used during a summer camping trip. In this case they may or may not notice you just before the fire sears away your phone number. Use something that stands out like miniature sized business card CD's. You can find some great deals on the web if you look hard enough. I recommend using CDROM2GO for their great low prices and vast selection. Business card sized CD's have a VERY long shelf life because who really wants to throw that away, right? They make an excellent conversation piece that reflects on how tech savvy you are. The other advantage to these is that they can hold up to 50 MB of YOUR data. That will leave you enough room to include your information packet, your order form, a sample virtual tour, your PowerPoint presentation, and one other miscellaneous item that you might put on there.

Now that you have all of your virtual tour company information packed into one tiny conversation piece that will last a long time, you are ready for additional planning. Sadly, 80 percent of all trade show leads never get followed up on so it's very important to plan out prior to the show exactly how leads will be gathered and follow up on. I recommend that you setup a raffle at your booth to win a free virtual tour that will be announced at the end of the show. Purchase a nice fishbowl or other attractive table piece that your visitors can drop a business card into. And always remember (as you hand out your business card sized CD) to ask if it is ok for you to follow up with them at a later time.

Next you need to setup your booth. Remember that booth graphics are the eye candy that will bring people to your booth. Unless of course you have that dunk tank or movie star standing there. The first impression must grab attention, because you only have that 3 to 6 seconds in which to work. Formulate an effective graphical statement and it is here that I recommend you have a nice printed sign for your virtual tour company. Most camera and digital print shops can do this for you on a stiff corrugated plastic sheet. Don't try to put too much stuff into your graphical message. Simpler is always better. Graphics should be colorful, eye catching and tell your story. Your sign is certainly not the place to showcase 31 reasons to use your technology or other lengthy complicated textual statement. Those turn people off quickly.

When at all possible, never place a table across the front of your booth. That places a barrier between you and your prospects. It makes them more likely to just keep moving. If you do have to have a table I highly recommend that you just stand in front of your booth. You are sure to see the slackers sitting in chairs behind their booths and those should never be your role models. NEVER SIT at a trade show. "Grind it out soldier!", as Ray Kroc would say. Your feet will hurt and your shoulders will tire but at the end of the day you will have impressed those around you.

Finally you need to remember that if you don't jump out and reach your customers you will probably lose 80% of your prospects. Attract their attention by being fun and contagious. Don't be afraid to bounce around a bit and look excited to tell people about what you have to offer. It makes people want to stop and be part of what's going on. It makes them remember your booth too and also improves your chances later for when you follow up. When you do get their attention, be sure to shake hands immediately and look your prospect directly in the eyes.

Repeating their name two or three times during your conversation will not only attract them more to you as people love hearing their own name, it will also help YOU remember it. If you are like most people you forget a name within five to ten seconds after meeting a person. This is because a million things are racing through your head during this first encounter. By saying their name right after they tell it to you, and a time or two during your conversation, you will be able to exit the presentation with confidence.

If you enjoyed reading this article you would thoroughly enjoy coming to some of our monthly talk shows. Our virtual tour software company holds three extended education classes each month. During these online, webinar-based classes we provide digital marketing and photography training. Stop on by anytime and enjoy the evolving technology.

QR Codes and Mobile Websites

At the National Association of Realtors annual convention in November, the word was: QR codes and mobile websites. We’ve talked about QR codes on this blog before, and we’ll say it again: this is the hottest technology going. QR codes are everywhere. On websites, coupons, flyers, signs, in store displays, magazines, and business cards.

For real estate agents, the most important thing is to have your QR code point to your mobile website, not a single listing site. We’ve seen a few QR codes on For Sale signs, but they only bring up information on that particular listing. Wouldn’t you rather have a prospect scan in your QR code and immediately see ALL your listings instead of just one?

Imagine this: a prospective buyer drives by one of your listings and scans the QR code on your sign. A video of you introducing yourself and your company comes up on the smartphone screen. In your video, you instruct the viewer to click on a button to call you immediately, or to enter a numeric code to receive details on a specific listing. Do you think you’ve got them hooked now?

If you haven’t set up your mobile website yet, what are you waiting for? How much business do you want to lose before you catch up with the power sellers?

The Virtual Tour Checklist

So I get hired by a young couple with a baby to shoot a virtual tour for them. They're looking to move out of state, back home to be closer to their family. They both work so, they tell me that it's ok to go ahead and shoot while they're not there and explain where to find the key. So, I get there and enter the home.....OH MY GOODNESS WHAT A MESS!!

Baby clutter everywhere!! Toys, stroller, baby chair, etc. Then, up on the counters and tables, there was enough paper work and receipts to bring the Pentagon to it's knees.

As I stood there in amazement, with my mouth wide open in disgust, it suddenly occurred to me what an old professor once said. "If you don't take the time to think about it, sometimes, you'll miss the obvious". I can't even begin to imagine how hectic it must be for this young couple. Both working two jobs and taking care of a baby.

I'm sure that if I had shot the tour "as is" which is stipulated in my contract, they would have noticed the mess and realized what they should have done. So, I took mercy on them, held my breath and jumped in.

I proceeded to move the clutter from room to room as I shot each one. It took me twice as long to shoot but in the end, tour builder 4.0 VR Software made up for some time and it ended up being a very nice looking tour. One that they were absolutely ecstatic with!! They were amazed at how I could make the house look so much better in a virtual tour. I think they thought that I used Photoshop to remove the mess!??

Anyway, on the drive home, I decided that this would never happen to me again.

I created a check list. A few simple tips that I send to my clients ahead of time to ensure a "better virtual tour".

1) Make sure that each room is free of clutter. A virtual tour always looks better when the home looks "neat and clean"

2) Try to remove any unnecessary furniture as well. Sometimes there are just a few too many chairs and each room will look better if it seems "roomier".

3) Keep the family pictures down to a minimum. Your prospective buyer would like to imagine their own family living there as they view your home. Don't take that away from them.

4) We want the home to be as "bright" as possible. So, make sure that all the blinds are open and all lights on.

5) Leave a batch of chocolate chip cookies in the kitchen for the photographer. This, of course, has nothing to do with the virtual tour itself. I just like chocolate chip cookies :)

I've sent this list to my last 2 clients and I can't tell you how much smoother each shoot went. They both thanked me for the tips and for taking the time to ensure that they had the best virtual tour possible. (plus the cookies were great!!)

Hope this helps. Now I'm off to the gym to work off those cookies. I have another shoot tomorrow and she said something about oatmeal chocolate chip...mmmmmmm.

The Pitch has Revved my Engine!

Last night's Alan's virtual tour presentation was very educative, fun and enjoyable. I couldn't connect to the Webinar because of security issue with my laptop for the first 20min or so.  I 'm glad I can go back, download and watch again.

Thank you so much RTV team for setting up the new online virtual tour software and a very easy to use online Tour Management System for their individual business owners like me.  'How little I know' was my feeling after watching his show, as far the newer technology and all the gadgets that are around to day. Things are changing fast for sure and only with the help of RTV will I ever catch up!  The webinars and extended education classes are the BEST that I've ever attended online.

Ben's webinar the IMAGE is amazing for learning to take good pictures of homes and businesses while the FORMULA  is the show to watch for marketing and sales. As a Worcester virtual tour provider looking to be the best in my region, I know that I'm on my way!  The Formula 44 certainly kicked my interest and eagerness (and I'm sure it did to lot of others who watched it last night), to learn more about growing my JayPhotos Virtual Tour business to the next level. I look forward to many more inspirational Webinars like 'The Pitch' and creating hundreds of flash virtual tours in the near future

Finding RTV - The David Stegmeir Story

A year or so ago I signed up on a photography websites looking for jobs in my area. What I really needed was a way to turn my love of photography into a new career.  I got emails from them weekly on all sorts of photography related positions around the country.  I hadn’t found one that appealed to me until one day this past December, when I saw an ad for “Virtual Tour Photography and how I could learn about stitching panoramas.  The ad was one that RTV had posted looking to fill a gap in their virtual tour network. After reading the details, I began to get excited.  I had looked into real estate photography over the past year and I was sure that this was the niche~ I was looking for.

When I looked at the virtual tours at RTV, I was so impressed with the high quality of the virtual tours, the extensive business / marketing training they provide, and professionalism that I knew I had to get involved with this virtual tour company.

I had previously researched five other virtual tour companies around the World.  Some of which even bad-mouthed RTV on their site! Obviously jealous and a a tell tale sign they would be not my #1 choice to get into business with. Finally and overall I was less than impressed with the products and the support that they had to offer.

I filled out an inquiry form and RTV called me back immediately.   Within a matter of a few days I made the decision to partner with RTV, was signed up, and ready to begin my new adventure and new career as a Connecticut virtual tour provider.

Chrome Dome vs The Fox

As a Pismo Beach virtual tour provider, being as efficient as possible is at the top of my list. I recently tried the new Google browser, Chrome. I have been an avid Firefox user with no problems in the past, so 'Why fix it if it ain't broken?'  Well, Firefox didn't break, but I was having problems with loading several pages I use often, including my own website. In a bind, I went with my brother's suggestion to give Chrome a try. I wasn't dazzled, but I wasn't let down either. If you have an internet presence (like a website or online portfolio) then you'll find this interesting.

Aside from being what I would consider my areas top producer of flash panoramas I'm also an SEO expert in training thanks to the #1 Virtual Tour Company in the world, one of the 1st things I noticed about Chrome is what they call an "incognito" window. Without getting nerdy on everyone, the incognito window claims to not use any of your information when browsing-no cookies, no cache, no passwords, nada. I found this interesting, useful, and painfree.

How is the incognito window interesting? Becuase if you have a website and would like to see how it ranks, this is your best bet for actual non-biased resluts. What do I mean 'non-biased?' If you don't clear your browsing history on a regular basis (why would you?) then Google stores it and eventually starts steering your search results in your direction, which I am usually quite happy with. However, after a couple days of not clearing my browser history, my website starts to rank better... on MY brower, but maybe not yours.

Speed Performance. Although some Chrome vs Firefox research has shown slightly better performance with Chrome, I haven't noticed a huge difference. Although if your computer or laptop is low on resources, (like less than 1.5 Ghz RAM, and I am one of them) and Firefox is starting to get really sluggish, then check out Google's Chrome. In all fairness, when Firefox was an infant, it ran similarly. As more hackers attack the new browser, I am sure Chrome will have to build more walls, too. Time will tell.

In Conclusion, I like Chrome, and would like to see more customization, which I am sure is on the way. It is great for laptops, which I do a lot of my Pismo Beach Virtual Tours on, but still prefer Firefox on my desktop for its extensions and organization. Hope this helps someone out there! :)

He saw the need for a greener home shopping experience, as well as digital marketing partners for real estate agents, so Jason began developing the RTV virtual tour software system. Several months into his endeavor he met Doug Knorr, owner of Knorr Marketing, a Traverse City ad agency and web development company.

Present day, Jason is the Vice President of RTV, Inc which maintains the largest network of independent virtual reality photographers in the world. RTV has sold several thousand of their virtual tour software kits, has created over two thousand jobs in the USA, and RTV's virtual tour photographers service over sixty thousand real estate agents worldwide.

In late 2008 Jason was challenged to “walk the talk” and start up an RTV dealership of his own in the small town of Traverse City. He accepted the challenge and BlueLaVaMedia came to fruition. Employer of three, BlueLaVaMedia is amongst the top fifty RTV dealerships in the world and in a three year span has already published over 700 virtual tours. Jason takes the vast information that he learns from running his own successful RTV dealership and hosts a talk show for his virtual tour photographers twice a month called The FORMULA so he can share the secrets of success with the network of dealers.
Jason brings over twelve years of internet savvy and expertise to the table and wears many hats at RTV including sales, marketing, product development, and head money spender.  Jason loves assisting his virtual tour photographers and making the RTV network the strongest network of independent photographers in the world.

Torie Hermel
Director of Technical Support / Customer Service

Torie grew up on a small farm in sunny Northern California. She fed the chickens, slopped the hogs, and ran barefoot through tomato fields. She did wonderfully in school and her dream was to become a marine biologist to fulfill her burning desire to save the whales. These hopes were dashed when, upon honest assessment, she admitted she was afraid to swim in the ocean. Her life took a much more mundane course after that. So much for honest assessments!
Somehow she ended up working with computers, doing technical support, and getting certificates, in a nasty shade of blue, signed by Bill Gates HIMSELF. Very impressive! She cut her technical support teeth on Windows 95 and also did hardware support. She once tried to help a woman install a motherboard over the phone, unsuccessfully, and then asked her, “Is there a kid around?”. Her 9 year old son stepped up and the job was completed quickly. Torie also worked for McAfee and did support for Microsoft Word 2000 and Office 2000 installation.
She has happily put Tour Builder 1.0 - 3.0 behind her and LOVES Tour Builder 4.0 online. RTV has changed so much over the years and she is so excited to see what happens next! Torie has been married exactly 16 days longer than she has worked at RTV. The two smartest and most beautiful children in the world call her Mommy. Repeatedly. Torie’s family is the most important thing her life but she takes great pride in saving the world one virtual tour at a time!

Ben Knorr
Director of National Sales / Setup

Ben Knorr

Ben Knorr was SO busy taking orders for our national accounts, backing up technical support, building lens files, selling a new RTV dealership, packing kits to ship out for the day, helping a new RTV dealer through the setup process, hosting a webinar on photography, and telling someone how to effectively build a digital SLR camera from old TV parts, that he has not yet provided us a biography.

Please check back here often and should you talk with Ben over the phone (231-947-3760) please urge him to take just a brief moment out of his busy day and get us some information to replace this disclaimer. Thank you! - Staff

Jacque Stephens-Burke
Director of National Accounts / Event Planning

Jacque Burke, the Tour Track Fairy, has been with RTV since 2006. She rides the mighty Tour Track beast with competence and ease as she doles out over $300,000 worth of work to the photographers in the network and over $1,000,000 since Tour Track began.
Jacque, who is also an award winning and published photographer, has been a photography hobbyist since she was 13 when she stole her older brother’s Pentax K1000 and fell in love. In spite of her love of photography she decided to pursue a career in social work, obtaining a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan. After a brief stint as a social worker she came to RTV to head up Tour Track. She loves working with our eccentric and zany photographers.
Although she one day expected to save the world, she is happy to satisfy that need by planning escape routes for her co-workers in case of a zombie apocalypse, and of course, spreading the unicorns and rainbows around the RTV office. Jacque is happily married and mother to three beautiful and smart children who constantly keep her on her toes. She feels very lucky to work for RTV!

Eve Allard
Accounting / Office Administration

Virtual Tour Accountant
Eve was born and raised in the great state of Michigan but has had the opportunity to live many places and accomplish many things. She has two beautiful children that are ages 21 and 17. She joined the military in 1987. She spent the majority of her career driving fuel tankers and she is a Desert Storm Veteran. She lived in Germany, where her eldest child was born, and saw the fall of the Berlin Wall. She even tried to adopt one of the guard dogs that used to walk the perimeter wall.
She spent 9 years in El Paso, Texas but missed the beautiful lakes and outdoors in Northern Michigan so she returned here in 1999. Eve has experience in office management, bookkeeping, retail, sales, and transportation. She made started at RTV in January 2007 and has seen quite a few wonderful things happen here. She is very exciting about the direction of the company and the super new things that are coming this year!

Byte Productions was founded in 1991 and is operated by brothers Tom and Tim Barrons. Byte began working for RTV in 2005 and each member of Byte's team brings unique talents and specialties to RTV.

Jill Sill
RTV Marketing Support

Jill Sill joined RTV during the summer of 2009. She uses her skills as a former high school teacher and her passion for language and graphic arts to create our Inner Circle marketing pieces, info packs, dealer manuals and our RTV newsletters. She loves to ski and spend time at the beach; both are easy to do here in Northern Michigan. Her main goal is to keep RTV connected with you and you connected with potential clients.

Remember, if you would like to have a custom marketing piece made and are an Inner Circle member, simply fill out our suggestion box and we will add your unique idea to our list.

Melissa Vernon
Graphic Designer / Digital Imaging Specialist
Virtual Tour Editor

Melissa joined the RTV team in March of 2010. She was born and raised in sunny southern California and made her way out to Michigan in the summer of 2007. She has a Bachelor’s degree in fine arts and is completing her Associate’s degree in web and graphic design. She puts her creative skills and photography background to good use as a digital imaging specialist. She takes her job seriously as she braves the snowy blizzards, clone brush in hand, using her Tour Track fairy magic to rid the world of dark, blurry photos.

Melissa has no children, but has 3 dogs that keep her busy and warm in the winter. She has long been an animal lover and even competed in horseback riding competitions and barrel racing while in high school. She was also a softball player for 8 years, which comes in handy when Jason thinks it is funny to throw random objects at her while she is working. She is the “Scooby” to Jacque’s “Shaggy” and often has to use her detective skills to solve Tour Track mysteries. When no logical explanation is offered, she often blames the Nargles.
Aside from the Nargles and random objects flying at her head (Jason!), Melissa enjoys being a member of the RTV team and feels privileged to be part of such a great company. RTV is always working hard to ensure that we offer only the best to our RTV dealers. She can't wait to see what is in store for the company this year.
