Think BIG - Play BIGGER!

Building a Bigger Tomorrow

Hal Holubik, owner of Tours D’ Force, a Lenawee County property marketing company challenges themselves to  THINK BIG and maybe you should too.  How often have you heard the comment “thing big/play big or go home”?  Often we don’t allow ourselves to thing big about our business to attract Bigger Clients.  But it sounds like a great motivational quote for us right now.

So let’s use it for our digital marketing based business.  How do you think about your business?

First of all, why are we even a questioning that!  Shouldn’t we all think big about our businesses?  Of course we should!  Are we?  That’s the question.

Well we at Team Tours D’ Force are not going home in fact we’re leveling the playing field. We have shifted our spotlight on how to ‘think big’ by understanding what it means and then we’ll share some of the steps with you on how to be bigger thinkers and create bigger clients in our business.

First of all, to ‘think big’ in your virtual tour business doesn’t mean to create bigger programs, bigger product lines or even bigger services.  It doesn’t mean charging more, adding more, etc., etc., etc. That is ‘doing’, not thinking.

We’re talking about improve our business skills and attracting more clients with less effort.  We’re talking about being the go-to person for our clients and potential clients so that they can be more successful.

To play harder in your business means to have a deeper meaning in the minds and hearts of your clients.
To give them what they truly want and value.

So here’s the question, how can we help our clients improve their existing processes and gain greater efficiency, value, and results? Now that’s where we need to go.  Instead of your clients doing the same process over and over, how can you help them to improve upon their processes to gain greater yields.  I bet you that they would happily invest in that.

The ‘Think big’ game plan:

First – Look at how we might improve our existing processes, products, and services to be more effective, learn how to network to attract leads, use social media to increase our visibility, and speak occasionally to share our expertise, etc.

Second – Examine where we can create more efficiency to speed up a good and effective process, teach our prospects and clients how they can get more from what we offer, expand our services and create additional streams of income.

Third – Once that ground work has been laid it will be time to share the results with our clients, and explode our presence with workshops and events.

Think big about your virtual tour business and gain great returns when you share that information with your clients.

To see how you can get more out of your virtual tours and digital marketing efforts, watch;  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sx51l90x83c and also stay tuned ‘Pump-UP Your Digital Marketing’ blog, coming soon.  Questions or comments can be directed to (517) 486-4209 or email to: Hal@Toursdforce.com.

Show Them Your Best

Alamo Area Virtual Tours is dedicated to ‘Showing Your Best’ through the latest virtual tour software technology through the RTV Virtual Tour system in producing High Dynamic Full Screen virtual tours. The number of technological improvements in just one year keeps us miles ahead of the competition.

2011 is becoming a banner year. One of the latest, but far from being the last technologic breakthroughs is our new mobile internet capability. All apple products, I-phone, I-pad, etc. are now capable of viewing our virtual tours.

A Realtor gets a call from a client that wants to view a property, they now have numerous pathways to accomplish this

  • Standard; meet the client at  the house
  • Send them an e-mail with the virtual tour link so they can pull it up on their computer
  • Send them a message with the URL embedded in the message so they can tap and tour on their smartphone/pad,
  • Have a QR code attached to their sign at the listed house.
More and more Realtors are realizing the importance of virtual tours and Digital Marketing. You may have to step out of the box, which can be somewhat scary, but it is either that or get left behind. If you are willing to step out of the box, but are unsure of what to do, call Alamo Area Virtual Tours or go to www.AlamoAreaVirtualTours.com and we will be glad to sit down with you to help you get on the digital freeway so that you will “Let Us Do Our Best To Show Your Best”.

The Greg & Paige Mitts Story

After ten years of being a professional photographer and owning my own studio, I realized I was ready for a change. I wanted to continue using my degree in photography and my years of experience but I did not want to be tied to a brick and mortar type of business. I realized that virtual tours would be a great opportunity to do that but I also knew I didn't want to recreate the wheel.

I needed a partner who would allow me to do what I do best -- take awesome photographs -- and not have to spend all my time learning a new business. After more than a year researching virtual tour software technology and about two dozen emails and phone calls with Jason LaVanture, there was no doubt that RTV, Inc was the only choice for me.

I am sure Jason had long given up on me by the time I placed my order but not once during that year did he give me anything other than his complete attention when I called with my endless questions. We began our  Northern GA virtual tour business while working a full time job but our first big break came from a chance meeting in the grocery store. My wife met the owners of a cabin rental agency in the area where we lived.

They had been considering adding virtual tours and we explained that we were willing to give them a super low price if they would let us use them as our guinea pigs. We ended up doing over 40 tours for this company in about six weeks while working my full time job. With that many tours, we learned how awesome RTV technology really is...and at the same time, we earned back our initial investment in the virtual tour technology. Over the next few months in the virtual tour business, we made an effort to do something each day to learn more and build our business and quickly realized that it was time to make the move to doing virtual tours full time.

Since the beginning of 2011, we have replaced two full time incomes and shot over 100 virtual tours. Rather than focusing on real estate agents, we have focused on businesses. We have created a niche marketing virtual tours to healthcare, hospitality and education and have had the opportunity to photograph in 26 states in less than six months.

Our initial cabin rental company was an opportunity for us to build our portfolio and learn the system so it did not matter that we charged such a low price. That volume in such a short time meant we got to truly test the limits of the RTV technology and perfect our system of shooting and building tours. What it also did was allow us to showcase our work and gave RTV an idea of what we have to offer.

When another cabin rental agency in our area called RTV and asked for a photographer to do tours for their 30 cabins, Jacque Burke of RTV called, emailed, texted and sent messages to us on Facebook because she knew we were the perfect fit! We sent samples of our work to the client and the next day began shooting for them.

This time around, we shot all 30 virtual tours in less than two weeks in between about 20 other shoots. For anyone considering the virtual tour business, there is no question that RTV virtual tour software company is the partner you want beside you.

Let me tell you...The technology is just the beginning. The training is fantastic. Even though I have a degree in photography and have been a professional photographer for 12 years, I learn something new every single time I watch an RTV virtual tour webinar.

The technology has grown with us and is always on the cutting edge. We are confident that no one can beat the product we have to offer.

Thanks RTV for helping us live our dream!

Groups or Fan Pages?

Hello RTV.  J.R. here from Kokomo's Best Property Marketing Company and virtual tour provider. Well, this is really a no brainer, but it’s good to have an explanation of the differences, because each has its own functions and its role in your real estate marketing plan.

Think of a group as more of an organizational tool on the personal level but not really for a large scale interaction. Pages should be used if you are trying to build a brand around your Real Estate Business. Having a Fan Page allows you to interact with your “Fans” or customers without having to be connected with them on you personal account. With a personal account, you are limited to Facebook’s 5,000 friend cap. A Fan Page allows you to surpass that 5K mark. Imagine having more than 5,000 fans getting your message in their news feed everytime you decide to share something with them. I bet they would remember you when it comes time to buy or sell a home. You’ll also be top of mind when they hear that a friend or relative needs to work with a Realtor….. I can see the referrals already!

What Exactly Are Facebook’s Fan Pages?

Fan Pages were added to facebook so that businesses, organizations, or even personal brands can keep in touch with their clients and potential clients in an official, public manner.

For us, the key word here is “personal brand” because when we use a Fan Page for a niche specific keyword or product, that is our business. As a realtor it is extremely important to begin establishing your personal brand and identify your NICHE. I’m not saying that you should ignore the other avenues of income but you should become “known for something.” First time home buyers, move up buyers, short sales, repos etc……

With a tightly keyword focused Fan Page, you will be indexed fast by the search engines. Your individual fan page will let you be recognized as an expert in your niche with exposure to maybe thousands of people each day, build your list, generate traffic to your blogs or websites, and much, much more.

Fan Pages now allow you to add a graphic message instructing potential FANS to click the LIKE button before they can view information on your page. You should always have a call to action in your marketing and that holds true for Facebook as well. Check out our Fan Page to see an example of the “call to action” that we use. If you set up a FB Page for “Buyers,” you could offer them a Free Report like “15 mistakes to avoid when buying your first home” if they become a Fan of your page.

If you would like us to provide you with a custom Facebook Fan Page Design, click here to order or see some other designs. Our service is extremely affordable! This is what we do!!!

Attention Realtors: Home Shoppers Don't Want to Talk to You!

I may have ruffled a few feathers with the title, but in all honesty, it's true. Your prospects don't want to talk with you. That's the reality of the new Gen X and Gen Y buyer. They text not call. Smartphones are their gateway to information. To many of them, email is so yesterday. They rely on opinions of friends via social media. They turn to business people who share information in the same way they do. Are you communicating with these buyers in the way they are accustomed to? A telephone number in a newspaper ad is just not going to reach a great deal of your buyers and that's the reality of marketing today.

I've been in marketing for over 25 years and recently became a provider of Green Bay Virtual Tours. In the past five years there has been a revolution in the way we do business. Social media is not just something to dabble in. It's the way you will need to reach out to a great majority of your clients. Many agents tell me they don't understand the technology and want to stay with the tried and true methods they've used in the past. Well, as Dr. Phil would say, "how's that workin' for you?"

First of all, you need to understand that you don't need to know the ins and outs of the technology. There are other people that can help you with that. What you do need to know is what technology is available and how it can help you to secure listers and buyers in the most cost efficient manner. DigitalVision360 offers online marketing including virtual tours, website videos and social media strategies.

Today's prospects want information, but they will avoid talking to an agent at all costs. From their perspective, they want to see what's available first and do some preliminary research without having to deal with a hungry real estate agent. Over 85% of buyers start their home search on the internet. What are they looking for? Great photos, a virtual tour, and clear, concise information. By adding a QR code to your print ads or signs you'll capture buyers as they drive through neighborhoods looking for their next home. Better yet, point that QR code to a virtual tour of that home and all your other listings through a mobile web app that we offer to real estate agents, and you've now captured the interest of the new generation of buyer.

From your perspective, you want to talk to them as soon as they start their search. You want to be their buying agent and have the opportunity to work with them to find the perfect property. I understand that desire and by developing a marketing plan that targets social media savvy clients you'll be assured the chance to not only talk to them, but develop a strong relationship from the beginning. They will be assured that you understand the newest ways to market real estate and will share your name with their friends and family through social media. Your name can "go viral" by embracing these new marketing principles and ways of doing business.

Do you want to learn more? DigitalVision360 provides online marketing services, including enhanced real estate photography, virtual tours, social media integration and web videos. We work with real estate professionals as well as other businesses. It's our business to understand the technology and how to use it.

V-Slides With V-Tours VS. Standalone V-Slides

I wanted to write you a quick message today and remind you about our show next week. Please take a moment to register here: http://www.realtourvision.com/WebinarInformation.php

Secondly I would like to clear up a some recent confusion about our V-Slide and V-Tour system.

Several hundred of you have purchased our Standalone V-Slide Module on an UNLIMITED basis.  You can still produce unlimited V-Slides and are 100% unaffected by the recent update to the system.

Those of you who did not purchase this can now create V-Slides by logging into your http://tms.realtourvision.com and clicking on the Create HD V-Slide.  This will simply use one of your virtual tour credits.

What’s the difference between a V-Slide connected to my V-Tour and a Standalone V-Slide?

A V-Tour costs 1 tour credit and can hold up to 30 images. You can also make a V-Slide when you create a V-Tour.  Your V-Slide can also hold up to 30 additional images.
·         The V-Slide you create with your V-Tour will connect itself to the V-Tour and make a button appear.
·         The V-Slide with the V-Tour DOES NOT have its own hit report.
·         The V-Slide with the V-Tour cannot be pushed to Realtor.com.

A Standalone V-Slide costs 1 tour credit and can support unlimited images.
·         The V-Slide will have its own hit report.
·         The V-Slide can go to Realtor.com.
·         The V-Slide will have a non branded version.

Enjoy the new technology everyone!

We’ll see you on the next show.

Sincerely,

Jason

Trust Me...

Two words that can make you cringe. If someone has to tell you or ask you to trust them then it’s a good bet you either don’t know them or don’t trust them. Knowing someone (having a relationship with them) is a big factor for trust.

Your Nova Scotia virtual tour genie has been getting daily recommendation requests posted to my Facebook profile from various "friends" in my network. Many of the requests are from people I have never met and never done business with.

The web casts a spell on people where they may feel an intimacy and connection with others they have met online which really is not justified.

Trust is a funny thing. I trust my doctor because he’s got the credentials and the license, but, that trust only goes so far. I had to develop a relationship with him where that trust built up over a number of years of good advice and the kind of professional compassion and skill I look for in a health care professional.

I invest trust in people because over time, they have demonstrated to me that I can.

Online recommendations are powerful. Nielsen’s Global Online Consumer Survey reveals that 90% of consumers online trust recommendations from people that they know, with 70% trusting the opinions by people they don't know.

While I understand that building your online reputation via recommendations is a good idea, boosting your online reputation takes time and effort. Once you have established a consistent pattern of connecting with others online, you will see your reputation flourish and more and more people will want to be a part of your social media network for business. As always, it is all about building and maintaining relationships.

There are many ways in which you can successfully build your reputation online for your virtual tour company. The generation of large amounts of content, through blogs, videos, etc, are some of the most effective ways to accomplish that. It is important to remember, however, that your reputation will not be built up overnight. It takes time and the consistent involvement of other people.

Building a brand is just like building a reputation in that you need to prove yourself again and again in order for people to put their trust in you and become loyal to you. Follow the 80-20 rule of marketing and spend 80% or more of your time in social media activities that are not self-promotional and only 20% or less on activities that are self-promotional.

Our Nova Scotia Virtual Tours fan page on Facebook is almost 2 years old. It has taken that long to build a strong and faithful following. We provide a service on this page, answer questions, offer tips and advice and rarely "sell" our services.

We are proud of the recommendations we have recieved from our faithful clients. You can check them out on LinkedIn http://ca.linkedin.com/in/supernovastudios , our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/NovaScotiaVirtualTours?sk=app_6261817190 , and at our site http://www.supernovastudios.ca/about-us .

BlueLaVaMedia Seeing HUGE Demand

Well everyone it’s officially our fourth summer here as a Traverse City Virtual Tour Provider and things could not be better.  As many of you know we set records by leaps and bounds last year for the Traverse City market after clearing over 300 virtual tours.  This year things look more promising than ever and it’s looking like we should come quite close to our goal of shooting 400 virtual tours.

Things did get off to a slower start here because of our extremely late fall but once things greened up the phones have been ringing off the hook ever since.  Jim Blue is currently booked solid for the next two weeks with five to six virtual tours scheduled daily.

With the over abundance of homes on the market right now Realtors are scrambling harder than ever to make their homes stand out among the rest and what better than a BlueLaVaMedia virtual tour and top notch photo shoot to do just that.

Another HUGE hit this summer as been the launch of our new mobile virtual tour.  Many local business owners and real estate agents have been loving the QR codes that we create for them and are getting them printed up to put on their yard signs and print advertising.

Finally, we’re very excited to see more local businesses here in Traverse City calling for our virtual tour services.  Recently Jim shot an assisted living center that can be seen here: http://rtvpix.com/BU-5361-X5NTP1-01

Word on the street is that many of you out there are also experiencing an all time high this year as our economy begins to show us more favor.  Thank you to all of our dedicated customers and also to the several hundred fellow RTV dealers out there who are the inspiration behind our local company.

Go RTV!

Dear Realtor.com

Dear Realtor.com:

Realtor.com is a great site. But my Realtor / customers have been complaining lately that the Virtual Tours we produce for them aren’t showing up on their Realtor.com listings. They are showing up, it’s just that the Virtual Tour link has been hidden away next to the listing photos.

As a virtual tour producer I may seem biased, but downplaying the available online media for a listing is the opposite of what an online listing sheet should be about.  I am writing to encourage you to increase the visibility of additional media for listings on your site.  Just the words “VIRTUAL TOUR” with a small graphic would be OK. Right now it just says “tour,” which can mean anything. And it’s placed near the link for “larger photos” which makes it seem like it’s nothing more than a slideshow of already available images.

Our customers pay a lot of money with the intention of their virtual tours standing out, being seen, and giving them an edge.  I hope you can quickly make this change. Thanks for all that you do.

Best,
Myles Lasco

Virtual Tour Testimonial

Our experiences have been great with RTV virtual tour software company. When we first joined they gave us great advice on how to start up our market in the Shreveport Louisiana area. As their product has evolved and advanced so has their support. They now have a marketing system that we have also joined. We have come a long way from just cold calling prospective clients, with all the marketing resources we now have access to since joining the RPM. We highly recommend the RPM for all the webinars and other resources to jumpstart your business.

When we signed up 6 yrs ago RTV had the best looking and fastest loading Virtual Tours out there. We know because we compared them to other companies. The other companies wanted to charge you for something every time you turned around just to do your business and their tours made you dizzy looking at them. The RTV tours function on a different process without the fisheye look. As time has gone by, RTV just keeps improving. Our virtual tours look even better know with the HD Full screen capability on our tours. We also have HD slide shows available to us.

Along the way our company got into website design as an addition to our business. Many things we have learned from RTV such as search engine optimization, we have integrated in other areas beyond virtual tours for our customers.

All I can say is our experience has been great. From learning marketing ideas from Jason and others through the many webinars, to our interrelations with Torie at technical support, we are very happy to be an RTV virtual tour provider and full service dealer.

My advice is to definitely check out all the competition. I say this for two reasons. First you will see we have the best product and support, and second you’ll appreciate RTV that much more. We also recommend enrolling in the RPM marketing system. Lastly I would ask them about their websites. As a web designer myself I can say they provide a very good site for a very economical price.

Hope this helps those of you that are searching!

Hal Holubik of Toursdforce states; “Today’s customers and prospects are becoming more mobile and depending on their smart phone devices more and more as a source of information.  So utilizing a QR Code in your marketing materials will give you the upper hand to reach out to your mobile customers and prospects in a new and efficient way!”

What are QR Codes?

A QR Codes is a two dimensional bar code that can be printed on any marketing materials to link printed materials to mobile and Internet marketing efforts.  The Blissfield Connector QR Code below has been programmed to The Blissfield Business Channel /virtual tour but could be programmed to communicate several types of information.   After the receiver scans the QR Code with their smart phone, the bar code will automatically prompt the user’s phone to launch the virtual business tour.  Once the tour is loaded the viewer will simply click on the “iPad / SmartPhone” button at the top of the tour viewing window to view the business video that will fit perfectly on their Smart Phone.

A QR code can also be programmed to launch a website (note: the web site must be a mobile site to fit properly) play a video (in this case) automatically enter contact information into a contact list (good for the back of your business cards), send an e-mail, send a text message, or make a phone call.  QR Codes are completely customizable and the possibilities are truly endless (left up to your creative minds).  Most importantly, they are tractable and we’re able to see how many individuals scanned a specific QR Code and when (in our case the hits will show on the virtual tours weekly hit report because the QR Code has been programmed to the virtual tour).  This tractability makes QR Codes a valuable (and affordable) response tracking mechanism for all marketing materials.

How does it work?

1.    Use a smart phone with Internet access. (Note: An Android is the only smart phone on the market that comes with a Flash player and our virtual tours are in Flash.  But that’s OK because I have changed the button at the top of the tour window from ‘Video’ to ‘iPad / SmartPhone’ and this will take those without a Flash player to the YouTube Video or there are apps for Flash out there for them too.)
2.    Download a free bar code reader app (If you have a recently purchased BlackBerry it comes with the app, if not I suggest one of these NeoReader, or Scanlife)
3.    Scan or take a picture of the QR Code with the reader app.
4.    Phone will automatically launch the code’s message or tour.

What can QR Codes do for you?
QR Codes are a basically an image, just like any other graphic, and can be placed on any and all marketing materials such as: business cards, fliers, brochures, promotional items, t-shirts, car wraps, signs, posters, direct mail, print ads, and more! They allow you to:
•    Increase response rates (almost anyone who knows about this technology finds it difficult to resist scanning the bar codes).
•    Measure the effectiveness of your campaign; different QR Codes can be generated for each individual project and tracked.
•    Integrate print, mobile, and Internet marketing with three “touch points” in one print item.
•    Plus, you will be on the cutting edge of a marketing strategy that is still relatively new in the United States.

The Blissfield Connector participating businesses can now showcase their businesses to their mobile cliental via iPhones, iPads, and any other web-based SmartPhone .  To help the participating Blissfield businesses achieve mobile exposure Toursdforce is providing 2D code stickers (sample below)in four convent sizes (Small 4’ X 4’, Medium 5’ X 5’, Large 6’ X 6’ or  X Large 7.5” X 7.5”) to be proudly displayed.   Tousdforce believes that QR codes will be an integral part of a complete solution that they can provide to your clients.  The technology is free on both ends (code generator and code reader) so, it time is right to start introducing the technology starting with our virtual tours to show clients and build value as an internet marketing expert.

Imagine what you can do with your QR sticker

Alamo Area Virtual Tours Published

Branding is the name of the game.  Getting your business and name out there are crucial to your business survival.  Unless you are fortunate enough to have been in business long enough to enjoy a full schedule of clients, and I doubt many of us do, you have to keep your name out in front. And I do mean FRONT.  That brings me to the latest coup that I have pulled off.

I have been a member of the local Board of Realtors for over a year now, and in business about that long. It’s one thing to be a member and it’s another to being a participating member. I am on the education committee and the affiliate committee. Note, I said participating, not just member.  There are many functions that can be participated in, from being a sponsor to being an exhibitor (stay tuned for next blog on this). The Newsline magazine that I’m going to redirect you to later, is a weekly publication with WIDE distribution.

There are 7000 Realtors in San Antonio and they get the subscription as part of their yearly dues. Is that the kind of audience you would like to get in FRONT of?  Now before I go on, I must tell you that advertising in the Newsline is $500/month. MUCH more than I have in my limited advertising budget. The editor and I are friends through the board and while she sympathizes with me concerning the cost, she is not able to put even ONE picture of me in the paper. I was determined to somehow get around this, at least to some degree.

The editor sends out photographers for many events, however; they can’t get to all the events. I have learned that when I go to an event, I take at least two things; 1) the camera and 2) my cowboy hat (for branding purposes). I’ve gone to a couple of events at which I took pictures, the Newsline photographer was not there, and I submitted them to Newsline.  The editor was jubilant that I had gotten pictures for them, but alas, the pictures could not be credited to me!. Shot down again, I thought.  But I didn’t give up. I kept submitting pictures and lo and behold, the editor came up to me and said that while I could not Brand myself in the paper because I was not an advertiser, she would like me to write an article about virtual tours of about 700 words.

I of course agreed and set about getting that accomplished. I submitted, the article was reviewed and I was told it would be IN the May 1st edition. Now when I say IN, I thought that my article would be relegated to an inside page somewhere between the want ads. Little did I know or even hope for what happened nor was I told of it beforehand. The newspaper came out and WHAT a surprise, FRONT PAGE in front of thousands of Realtors.

What exposure, and while I was not supposed to brand the article, other than putting my name and phone number at the end, the editor did in fact put the company name under my name at the top!! Now I would like to redirect you to that article. You can be sure that I have downsized the front page and will use it to the max in my advertising campaigns.
